December 30th

Long day today. We drove back from Kansas and were in the car for at least 8 hours. You would think that since I was in the car that long all I would want to do is come home and sleep. Well, Patrick and James met us home...YEAH!! I had to take Patrick to basketball practice at 7pm. I was hoping I could make the Zumba class at 7pm at the Pike Y, but they didn't have the class. I ran one mile instead. It took me 13 minutes, my heartrate was at 158, I ran it at a 5.0 on the speed control, and it was really hard. I swear it took all I had in me to finish. I then lifted weights...arms today. Yesterday, I worked out and rode the bike and lifted legs. My goal this year...lose weight and lift more weights. I am so afraid to get on the scale. I'm very afraid of how much I might weigh. It's not good. All my pants are tight....so I know it can not be good!!! Today, I ate a McDonald's sausage mcmuffin, ate sour jelly beans in the car, a chocolate chip cookie, a sugar cookie, an Asian salad w/ dressing, baggett, an ice tea, sipps of Dr Pepper, a G2 gatorade, and soon to have soup for dinner. Traveling makes eating very complicated. I know today was not great, but I really haven't started the diet yet. I'm not sure how I'm going to start this time. I'm thinking of counting calories. I heard that there is a device that you can attach to your body that let's you know how many calories you burn. I'm not sure if that is a worthy investment or not????
Everyday we have to work closer to our goal. What have you done today for yourself?
