January 2nd

I had a great workout day today!! :) I worked out 30minutes on an eliptical machine, ran my one mile, and lifted my legs. I feel great! My eating today was not bad today either.
I saw a couple of my peeps from my aerobic classes at the gym and took a couple of minutes to catch up. Good job to Wendi and Amy, who were working hard in the gym today.
I've really been thinking about the rules we set up for ourselves when we diet. For instances, I have set boundaries around time to eat, snacks, and drinking more water. What rules do you set for yourself when you think about dieting? Are they realistic????
Tonight, I'm going to stay in and watch some tv/movie.
I hope you are all well today.
Good health!

  1. My rule usually involve banning things- No junk food, no fast food, no Diet Coke - so I end up rebeling and then there are no rules. As a night owl and not a morning bird it is hard to eat in the morning so I often decide that whatever I can stomache is good enough before 11 am. However this has involved donuts and McDonals brekfast- Is that betetr than no brekfast? Gotta say no- A cereal bar is my quick exception when I am "being good". I also am against the no eating after 8 pm or 10 pm or whatever- I have read and discussed with my sister a dietician and she says calories are calories no matter when you eat them so i never follow this rule. I am begining to do the Best Life Diet which I have thought about for awhile. I tried being Vegan for a week and though love vegetararian food and can go for days w/put meat the though of banning yogurt or chicken made me revbel. I know that I am a rebel at heart I guess.

  2. I do understand the banning things. I'm very good at that and do the same things. I will be very good and then bammmmmmm I'm eating some cookies, candy, or fried food. I'm trying to give my self a little grace. However, I know that I have a hard time with being too easy too. I have to have some rules. I wonder if it goes deeper for you and me. I often wonder, why do I sabbatoge my diet. It's almost on purpose. I will tell you I am just so tired of getting marks from my pants because my stomach is too big. I will be posting my beginning pictures, but am so ashamed of how much weight I put on. Well, I think the rule of never let yourself get too hungry, tired, or thirsty.
Anyway...let's keep supporting each other. I hope we get there!!! :)
